Rebates and incentives

How do I get my incentives?

Your incentives will be paid in the form of an instant discount on your first energy audit, followed by a cheque once you’ve completed your home energy upgrades and final energy audit.

Important Notice:

Any Home Energy Conservation Program participants who completed a pre-energy audit prior to May 29th, 2017, are eligible to receive incentives of up to $2,100 depending on the fuel savings achieved (as measured by the post-energy audit). Starting on May 29th, participants who complete a pre-energy audit through the Home Energy Conservation Program will now be eligible for a $1,600 incentive for participating in the Program.

Enbridge Incentive

  • $1,600 for achieving a minimum of 15% in energy savings***
  • $150 immediate discount on your first pre-energy audit
  • $350 covering the remaining cost of your energy audits (not including HST), after completing your 2 recommended upgrades and final post-energy audit
  • $1,100 towards the cost of your home energy upgrades – after your second energy audit proving you achieved a MINIMUM of 15% in energy savings***
  •  A chance to qualify for additional electric incentives
  • You will receive a cheque for $1,450 or more ($350 + $1,100 + free electrical audit ($100 value) + your electric incentives)

Newly qualifying Electrical Upgrades

Electric Heating and Cooling

  • $400 for installing an ENERGY STAR® Qualified Central Air Conditioning System (SEER 15 and EER 12.5)
  • $250 for installing a High-Efficiency Furnace equipped with an Electronically Commutated Motor (ECM)
  • $25 for installing an ENERGY STAR® Window Air Conditioner

Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) (Electrical Heated Homes Only)

  • $1,000 for installing a Ductless ASHP (Air Source Heat Pump) – Single Head, Electric Baseboard, No A/C
  • $1,000 for installing a Ductless ASHP (Air Source Heat Pump) – Single Head, Electric Baseboard, with A/C
  • $1,250 for installing a Ducted ASHP (Air Source Heat Pump), Central Furnace, No A/C
  • $1,250 for installing a Ducted ASHP (Air Source Heat Pump), Central Furnace, with A/C
  • $1,500 for installing a Ductless ASHP (Air Source Heat Pump) – Cold Climate Single Head
  • Up to $3,000 for installing a Ductless ASHP (Air Source Heat Pump) – Multiple Head, Electric Baseboard, no A/C ($1,250 for one exterior unit and the first two interior units plus $250 for each additional interior unit attached to the same exterior unit, up to a maximum of $3,000)
  • Up to $3,000 for installing a Ductless ASHP (Air Source Heat Pump) – Multiple Head, Electric Baseboard, with A/C ($1,250 for one exterior unit and the first two interior units plus $250 for each additional interior unit attached to the same exterior unit, up to a maximum of $3,000)
  • Up to $4,000 for installing a Ductless ASHP (Air Source Heat Pump) – Cold Climate Multiple Head ($1,900 for one exterior unit and the first two interior units plus $400 for each additional interior unit attached to the same exterior unit up to a maximum of $4,000)
  • $4,000 for installing a Ducted ASHP (Air Source Heat Pump), Cold Climate, Central Furnace, no A/C
  • $4,000 for installing a Ducted ASHP (Air Source Heat Pump), Cold Climate, Central Furnace, with A/C

Qualified Products Specifications

CC ASHP – Ductless

  • Must be 15 SEER or higher, 12.5 EER or higher and 8.5 HSPF or higher
  • Must meet NEEP’s Cold Climate Air Source Heat Pump Specification (NEEP, 2017 or more recent) and;
  • Have a COP at -15°C(5°F) greater than 2.0 at a max capacity operation and;
  • Maintain a max capacity at -15°C (5°F) that is greater than or equal to 55% of maximum capacity at 8.3°C (47°F)

CC ASHP – Ducted

  • Must be 15 SEER or higher, 12.5 EER or higher and 8.5 HSPF or higher
  • Must meet NEEP’s Cold Climate Air Source Heat Pump Specification (NEEP, 2017 or more recent)

ASHP – Ducted/Ductless

  • Must be 15 SEER or higher, 12.5 EER or higher and 8.5 HSPF or higher
